I understand that if she seeks treatment from a doctor she needs to pay for it (or I do), she is doctor prone and therefore I am looking for suggestions for travel insurance which includes health care from a company based in Thailand that covers Thai people abroad

Just be aware that most Thai insurers require that the bill is settled first and you then reclaim on your return to Thailand, that's ok with a minor claim but it may give you a problem in the even of a serious illness,

 

You might want to consider an insurer based in Europe that will cover Thais and will settle directly with the hospital if needed. My wife uses https://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance they're more epensive than Thai insueres but are also part of BUPA and you can buy and claim online.
