How much do you pay for monthly pool maintenance in Pattaya?

I’m just trying to find out the going rate for having a pool cleaned in East Pattaya. Also a bit of gardening work when required?

 

How much are you paying and how many times a month is the pool cleaned?

Natives are normally around 1500 to 2000 p/mth.

depending on size and who buys the chemicals.

90% know F all about water balance and just act like robots.

 

Salt system pools are streets ahead in keeping clean.

 

I could teach you if ya not too lazy for a couple of grand baht!!

I have company & W/P as well.

I know exactly how to maintain a pool after maintaining mine for almost 7 years before I saw the light and returned to the UK!

1st must be a small pool. 2nd the only chemicals in that price would be 90% trichlor. How is the grout? No existent I would bet!! I call B/S.

Yes, 90% trichlor is acidic and will destroy the grout within a few years.

Yes, we drained and re-grouted this year (as well as changed lights).

was quoted 3,000 per month including chemicals, which I thought was way too high. I decided that I was being lazy in not doing it myself so I spent a good 6 months learning all that I could about how my particular new pool operates and how best to maintain it.  Bought a Dolphin pool robot, best buy I ever made,  it has really proved its worth.  After a long tussle with getting the ph level right and two minor (ish) attacks of green algae, I've now got it all sorted. Pool is beautifully clean (still need to sort the tide marks, but that is a minor issue). Unless I am away on holiday for an extended period, I would not pay anyone else to do the work.

I know a few pool owners around here (Ban Ampur area) and all seem to all pay around B2500. From what I see the help mostly tip in some hydrochloric acid which is a lot cheaper than chlorine but eats the grout so you get to re grout your pool every few years. 

 

Buy a vacuum brush, pipe and test kit,  a drum of chlorine and some soda ash, easy to do it oneself
