2018.3 current SETV situation in Phnom Penh ?

Featured Replies

Dear all,

About to leave for a SETV application / vacation.  A few years ago I did this in PP - used an agent and it was incredibly easy.  I`ve read through the recent threads here on flux situations in Malaysia and Laos; I`m wondering if anyone has visited PP recently and can let me know what it`s like these days...
In advance, thanks.

Bank statement + outbound ticket

With most agents, it is now a 4-day service, with no way of paying extra for express service. Although you cannot use an agent, my choice would be Hong Kong (best if you can afford a bit more), Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi or Yangon.

I had bad experiences with agents (especially if you have more than a couple old visas in your passport) and I've never seen a queue longer than  a few people so I'd say just go in a do it yourself. I was there just 3 months ago but I needed to go in person and have all the required documents (outbound ticket, bank balance etc...)

Just did it today.

Headed to LMN Travel and Tours, which is next to the Paddy Rice pub.

$50 USD, 4 days - apply Monday AM, get it back Thursday PM.

They have a $60 option if you want it in three days.

The man and his wife running the place are pleasant and professional.

I brought my bank statement on a USB, they printed it for me. I also brought a photo. They provide the app.

After you finish, head for a cold one next door. :)

PS I should add that I first went to One World Travel and received an absolutely disgusting treatment. I walked out and will never come back for anything ever again.

I have been using Mr. Keo's LMN Travel for a decade now, and he is always friendly and trying his best when dealing with the very mercurial.  unpredictable Thai embassy in Phnom Penh, an embassy that changes its procedural regulations about as often as Trump changes his cabinet ministers.

Was an outbound flight ticket required or recommended when you used LMN Travel and Tours?  Do you know if they offer any way around this (or know how to get around it otherwise)?  It's just difficult to plan a trip three months in advance and I'd certainly prefer not to buy a ticket that far in advance.  Thanks

I haven't been there recently, but the embassy does require one:the agency gives you the option of getting one yourself or have them make a booking for you for a small fee:as far as I remember it was only 5 $.So I always have them do it.
