I have my deadline approaching to ask for an extension of stay for 1 year based on retirement - of my non O. I understand I need to do it before my non O runs out (2 -3 weeks before).

 

I know I need to to prepare my bank book update and get the bank letter (800k) - is there anything else I need?

Where will you be doing?  Some require different items and will require some type of residence proof.  Signed copies of passport data page and entry visa/stay stamps.  Tm47 form with attached photo.  !,900 baht fee.  Extra for re-entry permit if that is wanted.

The extension needs to be applied for during the last 30 days of the current Permission to Stay which is stamped in the passport.

That can be up to 45 days at some locations (including Bangkok).

Log onto Pattaya City Expats Club and look under checklist for Retirement Extension. Everything that you require is there. P.S. dont' use agent

Location - sorry I did not think about that ..... It will be at Chaeng Wattana.

At Chaeng Wattana I doubt you will need a form 47 or proof of residence, Done seven retirement extensions there and never had to.
