Assume Mo Chit? Time of day? Day of week? Budget? Quantity of luggage?

A metered taxi would the simplest and most straight-forward, should be ~ 350 baht. There are some city bus route options from Don Muang (site of the old airport) and Victory Monument; 35 baht but limited service off-hours and challenging with more than a hand-bag.

Do NOT wait till the Mochit, get off at RANGSIT=future Aprk, and get bus from there, nrs 554 is quikest, via the outer ring road, or 555/554, via DonMuang. very easy connect there. all cost 35 baht.

I believe it's the 559 bus from Future Park/Rangsit?

Route 559 Suvarnabhumi - Future Park Rangsit:

Dream World - Ek Prathum Hospital - Future Park Rangsit

Route 554 Suvarnabhumi - Bangkok International Airport/Don Muang (Expressway):

Ram Indra Road - Lak Si - Vibhavadi Rangsit Road - Don Muang

Route 555 Suvarnabhumi - Rangsit (Expressway):

Department of Employment - PTT Don - Muang - Vibhavadi Rangsit Junction - Rangsit

According to the AOT website.

So yes, you can tell the attendent on the long-distance bus that you want to get off at Rangsit or Don Muang. (others will probably be getting off there too.) Not sure how often these buses (554/555/559) run during the hours you might be traveling (assume an early morning arrival), nor where you catch them specifically. Supposedly they do run 7x24. I do know they are standard city buses (aircon) with no room for bags other than in a seat or the aisle.

It might be easier, quicker but slightly more costly to exit at Rangsit or Don Muang just to catch a taxi as it can sometimes be challenging at Mo Chit to get to the taxi queue, depending on where your bus drops you off.

Yes, it should have read 559.

554/555 mainly are there to serve the 10.000s of airportworkers who saw there job moved, but not their home. So yes, they run 24 hrs, both about ev 15/20 mins (=10 combined)m and as they start in Rangsit (=garage) you always find s eat thewre. But in dec. Ive had a BMTAmonthly anmd used all airportbuses extensively, and there were hardly ever standing. 559 runs till 21.00 and not nioghttime.

In fact most upcountry buses Ive used into BKK saw most of the pax step off at Rangsit.

THre are aso dedicated MINIbuses=vans @ 40 bt from old Don Muang direct, but these dont have any space for luggage.
