After four months of investigation by its panel, the National Anti-Corruption Commission today (March 29) decided not to decide on the controversial issue pertaining to Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon’s diamond ring and luxury wristwatches by assigning the panel to conduct further probe to find out the real owner or owners of the wristwatches.

Thanks for posting. However what the bloody hell have they been up to this past 4 months, then? (Rhetorical)

The lot of them should be sacked on the spot. Should be but won't be.

All trying very hard not to be the one left holding the baby!

One thing likely to come out of this case, the Red Bull heir case, various hiso car accident culprits cases, billionaire poachers etc etc etc is a clamp down on social media comments. A Thai friend posted an article of her FB page earlier this week which was basically the BiB saying they're fed up with people publicly criticizing their methods and performance in these such cases and warning they'll be taking legal action against such posters in the future. If they do, then expect agencies like the NACC, the DSI etc to follow suite.

All these social media comments disrupt the ability to make things go away for the chosen ones. Sadly a very worrying sign if this is how they intend to deal with it. Regressing much.

Mate, I cannot disagree. Wherever one stands on the politics of this country, sling this issue under the carpet and what is left of any notion of fair play or impartial state institutions?

This issue, combined with the selective justice dispensed for others, combined with a cowed public who endorse such tactics as long as they are not on the receiving end and stand to benefit a few quid in the short term, followed by my own domestic problems for the reasons and culture cited above... To be honest, it is enough to make one ready to throw in the towel and enjoy trampling on them oneself if that is what they are happy enough with....

I see in the above photo he has his watch properly covered up.

Here’s a suggestion for watch #26. No need to cover this one up. Can be had for only a couple thousand baht. Tells exact same time as million baht watch.
