I lived in Thailand for years but left a few years ago.

The wife & I are planning a trip back later this year & I

will be on the usual 90 day non Imm O visa. We will stay at the family

home in the country.

Does TM30 rules apply to me in this case?

Should we even bother with the TM30?

I will have no need of visiting immigration while there

if not for this.

Yes.

I wouldn’t bother. Worst case, in the unlikely event that immigration pay you a visit, is a fine (up to 2K) if it’s not made. There are no consequences beyond a fine, which should be levied against the people you’re staying with as they are responsible for making the report.

Well all that advice seems wrong. No disrespect. A friend of mine had her boyfriend come to stay on a O visa. He wrote on his TM 7 where he was staying. She got a fine in the post.. He only stayed a month. She got a 800 baht fine.

Thanks again folks & no worries

as I am staying with my wife at our country house and yes no visits to immigration.

We come & leave together so none left behind to fine
