Mueller is investigating whether members of Trump's 2016 campaign colluded with Russia during the U.S. presidential election. Trump has called the probe a "witch hunt" and denied any collusion.

Not much longer and Rambo Trump freaks out and nukes his own country.

So is he essentially above the law? Serious question. If he is suspected of being guilty of criminal offences as indicated by the evidence and testimony that will be gathered how is he charged/dealt with?

That is what the impeachment process is for.

I don’t think he’ll nuke Russia...

Sadly, that's a political remedy at the discretion of the legislative branch.  What happens when the legislative branch refuses to act as a proper check on the administrative branch?  There should be a legal remedy as well.

No.

Until the president has been impeached by the Senate he is still president. As such he can pardon anyone without justification accused, convicted or sentenced of a federal crime.

The senate doesn't impeach. That is the other lot. If they vote to impeach, the senate has to vote to convict, or not. Despite Bill Clinton being obviously guilty of perjury, he wasn't convicted.

A lot of people on here counting chickens before hatched and all that, and indeed, Trump can pardon till the senate votes to convict, if they did.

Anyway, if it came to it, Trump would more likely resign like Nixon, take his billions and go somewhere else to enjoy his last years in peace.

Kamala Harris Pummels Jeff Sessions So Badly That John McCain Has to Stop Her

...Sessions would refuse to answer questions about President Trump, but would not cite any legal basis for this refusal. Instead, he described his refusal as a long-standing “policy” of the Department of Justice. Several Democrats on the committee noted the absurdity of his position, but the most effective interlocutor was California senator Kamala Harris, who, in a brutal exchange, exposed the fact that the “policy” was just made up.

"It resulted in the unnecessary seizure of protected attorney client communications between a lawyer and his clients,"

Cohen reveals that he has/had 3 clients concerning the "millions" of materials seized by the FBI spanning 30 years: Trump, FOX News host Hannity and Republican National Committee fundraiser (and deputy finance chairman!) Elliott Broidy.

https://nypost.com/2018/04/16/michael-cohens-mystery-3rd-client-revealed-sean-hannity/

Although curiously Hannity immediately denied that he was a client of Cohen.

https://globalnews.ca/news/4148041/sean-hannity-denies-being-client-of-donald-trump-attorney/

So any suspicion that Trump was Cohen's primary client is confirmed.

Cohen's relationship with Broidy was of limited scope - arrange a $1.6 million nondisclosure agreement with a former Playboy model who said she was impregnated by Broidy.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2018/04/13/michael-cohen-arranged-yet-another-hush-nda-with-gop-donor-stormy-daniels-attorney-claims.html

The disclosure of Cohen's clients should in part simplify court review of materials qualified for privileged client treatment. Cohen's only strategy now is delay, delay, delay for disclosure of materials to the federal prosecutor to protect himself from prosecution.

But if the seizures were only the "cherry on top" evidence needed to absolutely confirm damaging evidence already developed by the FBI, Cohen's resistance may actually accelerate filing of criminal charges

Not with the lackey Republican Congress. Maybe after the Nov. elections. HOPEFULLY.  Then maybe he'll either be in prison a padded cell or Russia. As long as the world does not have to see or hear from him again EVER.

I took a lookat a few. Just because some loons characterize these sessions as a defeat for Harris doesn't mean they are. This sample is typical of the typical text introducing these videos:

Mitch McConnell has already stated very clearly that he will not permit a vote on any bills to protect Mueller, I have no doubt he'll block this next move.

More on this: Schiff offers bill to discourage Trump from granting pardons in Russia probe

I don't understand what this bill offers that isn't already enumerated in the constitution.  The bill puts up complications if a president uses a pardon to benefit himself or his immediate family.  The constitution already limits the president's pardon power if the pardon is for "self-benefit":

Constitution limits pardons if they are for self-benefit

Quote

[A] “neglected” part of the Constitution limits the president from granting pardons if they are for the purpose of self-protection, two law professors assert in a Washington Post op-ed.  Jed Shugerman and Ethan Leib of Fordham University point to the “take care” clause of Article II, Section 3. The section says the president “shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed.”

However that still requires us to have a legislative branch that isn't spineless presidential ball-licker, which unfortunately we don't have at the moment.

News is Cohen has flipped....

Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Cohen and Trump are sharing legal representation in the SDNY investigation, before Cohen can 'flip' he must separate his legal defence from that of Trump.

When that happens a 'flip' is in the offing, but not before.

While that would preclude a flip against Trump, would that also exclude everyone else, ie., Kushner, Jerry Rotonda (CFO Deutsche Bank's American wealth Management division) and Rotem Rosen - none of whom have a client-attorney relationship with Cohen as they were not identified as such in Court.

Interesting how you only made a personal attack rather than post a substantive reply. That speaks volumes.
