After moving cross province, how about the car, motorbike, driving license?

I moved from Phuket to Korat and registered my residence successfully (Thanks Ubonjoe). Now a few questions remain:

1/ Do I have to move my vehicles, too? What would be the procedure? I heard bad news about paying road  tax by post. People lost their blue/green book and did not received their tax disc.

2/ In about two years I will have to extend my driving license. Can I do this at my new residence or is a lengthy process involved?

Thanks for any reasonable input. I am not really willing to take a trip to Phuket just to pay the road tax...

You can pay your vehicle tax in any province. Our pickup is still registered in Phuket but we haven't lived there for 7 years.

I also renewed my driving licences last year, no issues to change your address on there computer system but I did have to pay an "admin" fee of 50 baht :)

Fully support that.

It must be millions of cars on finance with Bangkok plates located all over the country.

And the 50 Baht for change of address on the license is official

I had to let it changed at the last extension just due to the fact that the old address was plain wrong/nonsense (for 6 years) which I didn't check before leaving office.

There is no need to rush and change the address.

Just wait for the next extension where you need to present a proof of residence anyway.

And it can be done at your closest DLT office.

No magic involved.

Moved a bike from CM to Ayutthaya, no problem at all.. paying taxes can be done anywhere

We tried to register to Ayutthaya plates, too many hoops so let the idea go

DL you can do when up for renewal...

Got my license in Bangkok a few years ago, renewed it in Hua Hin a few months ago without issue (and no 50 baht fee). My bike is registered in Chonburi, but I've had no problems renewing tax and getting it insured at the shops with the cog sign here in HH.
