Hello everyone and thanks for your help on my last posting ref: 'passport and overstay'.

My boss called immigration to find out what paperwork was needed for extending my non B for 2 weeks in order for me to get e new passport, she was told that they could only extend it for 1 week and it is very difficult to do at the moment. ( this is what my boss told me this morning according to her contact with Maptaphut immigration office ).

My question is..... with only 5 1/2 months validity on my UK passport will I be allowed back into Thailand if I do a border run to Phon nam ron / Ban laem to get a 30 day stamp? Hopefully in that time I can renew my passport at BKK and then get either a 60 day tourist visa or a new Non B (subject to obtaining the Police check from the UK).

Thank you for any advice

It's likely you won't be allowed into the next country without 6 months validity on your passport.

There is no passport validity requirement for visa exempt entry. Your entry permitted to stay stamp will not exceed your passport validity.
