I have to go to Jomptian Immigration Office on the 17th of this month to get my passport stamped, it is currently under 'consideration.' It is for an extension based on a marriage visa. My wife suggested that the office may be closed on that date due to Songkran, if this is the case I would have thought that going earlier would not be an option, but if closed how long after the 17th would I be able to make that visit.

Open though will be busy after songkran but you should not need to queue or get number with an under consideration stamp.

The are only going to be closed from the 12th to the 16th. Open on the 17th.

Can I go after the 17th, I am suspecting the office will be chocka block on that day?

You could go the day after without a problem.

Just an update really.

Went on the date due (17 Apr) for my extension based on marriage, it is under consideration at the moment, only to be told to return to Jomptian on Fri (20th) for my passport to be stamped. She told me the paperwork had not been sent by Bangkok Immigration.

It was a lovely run out on my motorcycle if nothing else.
