Bangkok To Copenhagen

Featured Replies

Usually when I visit Denmark I take a Thai Airways plane to London and after about 10 days in England take a budget airline to Copenhagen and then some 8 - 10 days later Thai Airways back to Bangkok and the cost isn't too important. This time, however, I am only planning on travelling to Copenhagen and then back to Bangkok and want to keep the cost down. So my question is "Are there any other aitlines that TV members recommend?"

yes I did that trip last year and went on Turkish Airlines. I was fortunate in that the ticket was paid

for by someone else so I was in business but even economy is okay

I think. I had a two-day stopover in Istanbul but the real benefit was that it was a direct flight.

may be the only one !

Used to work in Iceland and did the CPH to BKK flight 2 or 3 times a year. Haven't done that for at least 12 years however. My choices back then were either SAS or Thai for Copenhagen to Bangkok. At that time they ran on alternate days, that is SAS ran one day and Thai the next. Both had good service, but Thai was a little better with its in-flight service.

I think Singapore still has a flight from Frankfurt to Singapore and then take a hop to BKK. As far as I recall you can go from CPH to Frankfurt by SAS ,then Singapore to BKK. Probably not the cheapest way, but Singapore always had the best service.

Used to be a KLM flight thru the middle east to BKK from Amsterdam. It had one of the best prices at the time. Not sure if that is still running or not. Think it went thru Dubai, just stopped to refuel there. No overnight stay required.

I've flown Turkish Airlines out of Istambul to BKK. They had a good service. One thing I liked was that if the business class seats were not full, you could pay a surcharge (was about 100 to 150 U.S. dollars then) at the airport in Istambul and get upgraded to a business class seat. Also worked in Turkey then, and the advantage of Turkish Airlines was that if you bought a international ticket on Turkish Airlines, you had the domestic (in Turkey) leg of your flight included with no extra cost.

Only non stop flights I believe are:

BKK/CPH on SAS SK972

BKK/CPH on Thai TG950

An alternative, is Swiss... BKK/ZRH/CPH with about one hour stopover in Zurich... Have heard some good things lately about Swiss.

Cheers, Bapak

I travel 3 times a year CPH BKK and always on Thai, the price is the same as SAS, but I prefer the service on Thai.
