I suspect you can get away with hosting a few dozen friends for an orgy at your home, but charging 1500 baht, holding the event in an illegal hotel and advertising it online probably puts it over some legal line.

Consensual or compensated?  That is the question.

1.500 THB for a night in a hotel & free drinks can't be a problem for a lawyer. Same sexdrugs like viagra is not a big problem. Maybe they was legal. But it's a big show in Thai TV.

I hope some farangs and chinese bring thepolice and press to court about computer crime act & false accusation.

Just because the police find you in a hotel bed with your girlfriend can't be a crime.

What they did wrong is two things.

1. They were having too much fun. Under Phra Prayuths government this is forbidden.

2. They were high off their tits.

12 years ago here in Chiang Mai, an American friend told us he had arranged an orgy at some hotel and invited me and a few other of our male friends to participate. He said it`s all laid on and he will pay for everything. Western males, mostly expats including me and Thai hookers.

Must admit I was very tempted to go. But I knew this guy well and knew he liked to dabble in the demon weed and some hard drugs on occasions. In-fact he used to boast about it. So I declined his offer, while the rest of our group went.

Then lo and behold after a couple of hours at the hotel, the police raided. It wasn`t the fact that the guys were doing anything illegal with legal age hookers, but they found drugs at the scene. My friend had to buy himself out of trouble but was soon deported. I trusted my instinct that it was not wise to go and so glad I didn`t.

i also wonder what law was broken ?

this could well be an opportunity to charge police for being detained

ah...Operating a business without a license?? They were charged 1500 per person, so this would make it a business not a bunch of friends just getting together to enjoy each others company!

you can argue that for the hotel owner,

but not for the bunch of friends getting together

What was the crime? I think the police where upset they did not receive a proper invite so they decided to roust every one.

It isn't an 'invite' that was missing, simply the customary commission.

Its made the Daily Mirror in the UK
The police are doing a good job in their campaign to change Pattaya's sleazy image. In Australian press described as "police raid orgy in Pattaya, often referred to as the sex and prostitution capital of the world" Great advertising for sex tourism. Expect even more Australian tourists.

A group of like minded people have got together for an exotic evening. I am interested to know what laws they were actually breaking.
I guess the good news is all the potential instructors couldn't attend having been previously arrested.

Sex is most definitely not on Gen P's list of happiness acitivities.

That`s what I said. The girl doesn`t look any older than 14.

Admittedly, not a clear image, but that looks like a kid to me.

Pretty much the same description in The Mirror and The Star in the uk, both added there were a number of Brits there whereas the police her say there wasn't. I guess the UK papers need to say there was Brits for local UK interest.
