Booking Thai Smile - Annoying 'CAPCHA'

Featured Replies

Just taken me near on 30 minutes to book a Thai Smile flight. After each segment the Site drops out to a security check point wanting one to rotate animals - CAPTCHA.

Been through 'Distil Networks' (Thai Smile host site) looking for answers and complied to all their requirements re Java Platform etc.

Op Sys = Windows 8.1

Browser = Firefox

Java = SE8 U171 (the only plug in I have 'Active')

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance

I have booked ThaiSmile often (some 20 flights or so).

Never seen a captcha.

Just retried up to the personal data form.

(Win10, Firefox)

Not the slightest obstacle.

Through in a few seconds.

Are you are booking from Thailand?

Do you use a Thai IP address?

Do you use some form of VPN or other IP spoofing?

Thank you for the reply.

Yes booking from Thailand using a Thai IP address.

No, I do not use a VPN.

See the screen shots.

Had an automatically generated reply from Distil Networks - useless!

Seems that your question has been answered.

There must be a feature/setting/plugin in your browser that is incompatible.

I can't read for sure what that "STOP" sign thing is?

I use Noscript but am aware that the first troubleshooter is allowing the website.

All I can advise you:

from the FF help menu use the "Restart with Add-ons Disabled…" (safe mode) and then try the thaismile site.

I think this thread is better in the IT forum.

The stop sign thingy is one of only two "add ons" I'm using. The dreaded Add Block Plus AND I had disabled that without effect.

As I stated I have tried with Java being the only add on (or plug in - unsure what the difference is) AND I did toss a coin as to which forum I would place this.

I just tried 'FF Safe Mode' the site went looking for Java and on finding it went back to the CAPCHA?

I have also tried 'Internet Explorer' that just locked up at the 1st entry point after selecting flight details.

Just to add:

I do not appear to have a problem with the site using Chrome as my browser? Just FF and IE. My mobile phone is OK using the same 3BB wifi connection.

My backup PC bombs out as well using FF and IE.

Running out of ideas

Hope someone else has something to contribute.

This is the starting point/link which I use:

https://www.thaismileair.com/en/

It would be enough to know whether other members see a similar problem. Just select some arbitrary flight and then click on the "Book" button which should then open a new tab with flight schedule/selection.

The new tab would show this in the address field:
