Depending how far you want to go down the Gulf, as I stated, there's long stretches of sand, between the estuaries, with little development. At Ban Krut, before the Bang Saphans, that's more than a few kms, split by an estuary itself. Weekdays see few people walking the beach. Top of Chumphon (Pathio district), you have plenty of non touristy sand to stroll on. At the 'Royal Development Project ร้านกาแฟขี้ชะมดโครงการพัฒนาส่วนพระองค์ จ.ชุมพร', a ~8 kms (?) of surf, and can even sample coffee made from beans shat out of a Civet's butt, if wanting. Then there is Thung Yang Beach, has half km of nice beach ... If in the hood, can't pass the Grand Sand Dunes without experiencing 🙄 All within 20 km of each other, with Thung Sai beach, not mentioned. We were 'sanded out'
