I get this type of email on average about 6 times a week. I,m an Aussie and and get them. Can I ask you if you are on myspace.com? If they are real they will never disclose thru email the amount you have won. If you reply to them they will ask you to deposit normally around $10,000USD into a bank account based in Germany to offset courier charges. If you say you can not afford this then they will tell you that they have dropped the charge to around $2500USD. Watch out for Freelotto and the African lawyers who want you to help them transfer money as well. :D

myspace.com ? No.

I have no idea how they came up with my emailaddress; but don't worry, I will never make a transfer of 10K $ into someones account..... :D especially if I don't know them.

Sidestory:

In the summer of 2005 I was having an afternoon nap on Koh Samui when I received a phonecall from my homecountry.........

This guy told me I won a (quite nice) prize* in the so called 'PostalCode' lottery in which I play with a monthly 3 tickets.

I recognized his voice since he's on television every week.

I couldn't believe it but.............................it was true !

I had a very nice holiday :D

* a sum in money as well as a (smallest possible :bah: ) BMW, which I sold.

Nevertheless :o on the same day this guy in the north of my country won Euro 9.8 MILLION !!! or US$ 12.75 MILLION.............. :D

So , you don't think you've really won then?

So , you won't be ringing the bell in the bar ?

Sigh

On a lighter note.

I heard a for real for true story in the UK once.

The Missus tapes the lottery results one Saturday.

She buys a ticket with those same numbers for

the following week.

Next Saturday the Mister comes home just before

the lottery show starts.

The Missus slots the cassette in the VCR , gives

the Mister her ticket and asks him to check the

result for her 'cos she has to go see a neighbour

about something.

She comes back in an hour and waits until after

11 before calling the Mister on his mobile.

He's just bought the gazillionth round of drinks

for all his pals at the pub. She explained the joke.

Funny thing the story ended with the Missus still

alive and still married to the Mister.

Understanding guy with a sense of humour.

I might have killed her and then sued for divorce.
