Re-entry permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport Bangkok

Featured Replies

This is a for your information post. It was just reported that the additional 200 baht charge for a picture and to fill in the TM8 form by the desk personnel at Suvarnabhumi Airport is no longer required. If you have it filled out with an attached photograph the charge is waved. The cost of a multiple re-entry permit is 3,800 baht, the same price as the Bangkok Immigration Office. I assume they will still do it for the 200 baht if you prefer that also, but just though I would pass this information along.

Thanks, but discussed often.

Yes you can attach your own photo, no need to use their photo service.

What is interesting: did they really supply a multi-entry?

Don't forget you can only use it at the airport if you have a flight same day.

You have to enter the departure hall, possible only after check-in.

First time I used the airport re-entry permit desk last year, I had the paperwork and photo and they politely advised they are waiving their 200 baht fee for their 'all-inclusive' service. I opted to let them do the work the next time and was charged accordingly. Nice, honest and very handy.

It is only for departing passengers, the re-entry permit desk in is the Immigration hall after check in and after security, just 1-step shy of 'air side'.

In my tread I tried to make it obvious that it was Suvarnabhumi Airport specific, I guess I failed but that was the intent. And at Suvarnabhumi in the recent past they would not let you supply your own form or photo and were charging an extra 200 baht for it. And yes, I was aware you needed a boarding pass to do it at the airport, that has been discussed often in the forum. And yes it was multi-entry.
