If someone previously had a job in Thailand and worked without a WP (the employers fault, not the employees, and the reason the employee left) would it affect getting a WP now, it was over 4 years ago. 

 

Wondering if immigration would do background checks as they will see the work experience list on resume. 

Immigrantion don’t issue work permits.

 

As long as you weren’t prosecuted for your past illegal work you shouldn’t have a problem getting a work permit from the labour department for a qualifying job.

elviajero, thank you for your response, there was no prosecution and have been through Thailand many many times since, only travelling, so hopefully all okay!
