June 25, 20188 yr If you wish to study purely online, what difference does it make which country your proposed degree/diploma is based other than the language of instruction or the subject specialisation?

I agree 110%.I am working with a fully accredited Cambodian institute to develop a range of online degree (Bachelors and Masters) in a range of disciplinary fields and mostly instructed in English: own time, own pace & anywhere. If the OP would like to explore the offerings, please personal message me etc. I am responsible for the B.Eng + M.Eng (both TESOL + professional Communications) but there are IT and Business programs available
March 9, 20197 yr What are you bringing to this that's novel? Integrating Khmer with English? Instruction only in Khmer? You do realize that there are now many large, important universities doing online degrees and that many prestigious universities are now both partnering with regional universities as well as establishing their own campuses in the region and especially in MENA. I would agree that this is the direction instruction is headed. I just see larger, more competent players and think you're over the head. International educators within the last year have woken up to the $$ and academic potential of the best Thai students. Specialized degrees for locals to teach English? Cambodia might be able to use that. I don't see any value in Thailand unless it's picked up by a Thai university. Further, for foreign teachers nan all online degree is not acceptable for the professional teaching licence. If this is still true, IMO there is no way this would be acceptable for bachelor's, master's. March 20, 20197 yr Thanks #6 for your insightful comments ???? The Institute's primary focus is on the local Cambodian "market" initially. And, having just spent 2 months in Cambodia assessing 'things' - well - I am hitting the pause button anyway on my involvement until such time as a number of structural/systemic issues are resolved (shall we say!). Cheers, TM
