American Expat Murdered In Chiang Rai

OK, why don't you "believers" just face the brutal music that your Thai (and other SE Asian) woman does not want you for anything now or ever, but for your money, or passage to a more lucrative living. This is the truth from here to Hanoi. If they can't kill you there they will use your country's legal system to hose you. If you try to sequester them if you bring them home they WILL poison you. I have seen it.

Like a lottery ticket, when they got you alive and well and you have babbled one night what you are really worth or that she is a beneficiary you are the ticket in hand. When you are dead is when they pick up their jackpot.

SORRY, that was harsh in retrospect. I have witnessed the death of a friend and I have known personally one attempted poisoning and and one successful. All were with women half their age. All you farhangs with happy relationships to SE Asian women please accept my sincere apology. I see many many cute scenes over there. Couples on skooters with their little kid up front wearing the only helmet, but usually younger 50/50 couples. I actually respect the fact that these ladies are so loyal to their men and families. If you are a balding old geezer (I am not bald, but 55) just remember that when you are with that svelte, georgeous little pooying that is 25 and looks 16 even after haveing a couple of kids with a midwife at home, SOMETHING AIN'T KOSHER! When I drove that Isan beauty up to visit the family in Ubon, no matter how sah-weet everybody was I still felt like a turd in a punchbowl or a nigah what don't belong!

Update:

Retired American shot dead in his home

Returns from golf game and surprises burglars

CHIANG RAI: -- A wealthy American has been shot dead as he tried to fight off burglars in his Chiang Rai house.

Fifty-six-year-old Bradley John Taylor returned from a game of golf and found burglars rummaging through his belongings. He accosted them, but sustained a gunshot wound.

The burglars made off with valuables taken from the house.

At 3 p.m. on May 14, Pol Sec Lt Supoj Suwan of the Muang Chiang Rai police station was informed of the burglary and shooting at Ban Rai community, Moo 5 in Tambon Ban Doo. Accompanied by police colleagues, he went to the scene, a large European style house built on more than 1 rai. Bloodstains were found at the front gate that the wounded victim had apparently crawled to in order to summon help. There were signs of a struggle inside the house.

Police also collected as evidence a bullet casing they found lying on the floor.

Taylor was taken to Chiang Rai Rajaprachanukroh Hospital with a bullet wound to the chest and several bruises. He succumbed to his injuries a short time later.

Taylor’s 36-year-old wife, Chornapah Harkai, told police that he had previously lived in California and they had been married for many years. Three years ago they moved to Chiang Rai. He was a wealthy man who used to be a computer programmer in the US before he retired and moved to Thailand.

Chornapah said she was taking their children and his relatives from America on a trip to the checkpoint at Mae Sai border when she was informed by mobile phone that Taylor had been murdered.

After their home was checked, it was ascertained the burglars had made off with a notebook computer, over 150,000 baht in cash, and a platinum and gold bracelet and necklace valued at over 200,000 baht.

Police believe there were at least two burglars. Police took fingerprints and notified the American consulate to send officials to take part in the investigation.

Don't tell us much more does it?

Still think the Thai Shelia's behind it. What a good excuse, family in law over for a holiday, her out doing a good turn, gets her family/friends to do the deed while shes away and there you have it a perfect alibi

How are you tied into this victim??????? From the way this is written you would have to be the daughter of the victim and does not like his wife.

You ought to be ashamed of yourself because of your arrogance and most of all your filthy greed!!!!!!!!!!! :o

This is a matter for the authorities and if you wish, a follow up investigation, either called by your consulate, or financed privately.

If you wish to solicit assistance on this forum, by all means make your request. However, using Thai Visa forum to make accusations is going to serve little purpose and may possibly serve to ultimately only make the investigation more difficult.

We got an email from "Daughter" with a name correction:

I am the daughter of Brad Talley, not Brad Taylor, that was incorrect. We have since found out that she was cheating on him for the last 2 years. Also she was only married to him for 2 years not 10. Dawn.

Where can I get in touch with this distraught lady?

I am a fully qualified grief councillor and lazy sod, without a direct consultation I would think she would need my services for at least 5 million dollars, oops I meant several years at least.

IMO you should never tempt the Mrs with a "Prize for your demise"

Keep the life insurance policy low enough or payments spread out enough that you are more valuable alive than dead.

My thoughts eactly, the only thing you want to leave on your demise is the funeral bill.

Ah now that you can do without Royal Favour ......

What you does is find a suitably ludicrously named village from the map of the UK and visit the Heraldic Society in London

There you check it does not already have any "lordship" type title associated with it and has not had a "Lord of the Manor of ......" certificate issued

Then you design a coat of arms meeting the British Heraldic Society rules, and a motto in Latin and submit them with the appropriate (big) fee

If the application is approved you could become Lord of the Manor of Upper Bummington Heath or whichever unfortunate Hamlet you choose

Beats the ###### out of Daveyopornsri na Nakhorn Nowhere doesn't it?

Ahhhhhhhh Maerim, good to know that you object. However I never said I would be the one giving guidance :o I said I see others need some guidance ditto, and hehehehehehe, and of course guidance counselors happen to be in this forum since they somehow got qualified. As for me, I am guided by the forces of which you not see and not know. Hmmmmmmm, now I am getting a bit technical, so please do not panic, it is not your internet, or your TV this is outer limits :D:D:D

Am I missing something here?

Curiouser and curiouser.
