snoop1130 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 Photographer shares top tips for getting the perfect travel photo from your plane window By Nigel Thompson The Icelandair jet banking right over a fjord We were on board a special sightseeing flight to celebrate Icelandair getting its first Boeing 737 MAX-8 passenger jet. It flew from the domestic airport at Iceland's capital, Reykjavik , to the north coast, passing stunning snowy scenery straight out of Game of Thrones (which is of course filmed in Iceland). The pilots made a flypast of the country's second-biggest town, Akureyri, then dropped to just 700ft to rocket up the Eyjafjord before soaring over the Troll Mountains. Also on board the state-of-the-art plane was leading Icelandic landscape photographer Páll Jökull, who was on hand to offer advice on how to get the best aerial shots of the country’s stunning scenery.
