webfact Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Thai tour buses were used to traffic Rohingya refugees, says Big Joke Picture: Thai Tourist Police The Tourist Police Bureau and the Department of Land Transport has raided two tour bus companies in the Bangkok area. Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakpal, deputy commissioner of the TPB, said that several vehicles belonging to the companies were adapted to carry Rohingya refugees to Malaysia. The Maj General was filmed yesterday at Sri Yam Tour on Kanchanaphisek Road in Bang Khae where six vehicles were believed to have been illegally adapted in the luggage hold to carry the refugees. Picture: Thai Tourist Police Later Thursday the garage of Sri Siam Tour in Phuttamonthon Sai 2 was due to be inspected. The TPB reported that Rohingya had been interviewed in Surat Thani. Some were reported as having been trafficked. They said they had paid 1,500 baht each to go to work in Malaysia. They were transported by ship and picked up by the tour buses to be smuggled into Malaysia. The TPB said an agent - believed to be foreign - was paid 17,000 - 20,000 baht a head for the refugees who would end up in a factory across the border. Thirty drivers have been interviewed and urine tests have been made. Charges so far have only been pressed regarding illegal adaption of vehicles as the investigation gains momentum. Surachet is known as Big Joke in the Thai media and has been involved in a series of high profile busts recently. Source: Thai Tourist Police -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2018-05-18
TallGuyJohninBKK Posted May 18, 2018 Posted May 18, 2018 Where there's an illegal buck to be made here, there's some local or locals willing to make it. No shortage of willing takers for pretty much anything with a payday. 1

Ok so you believe foreigners wouldnt or couldnt but thais would? Trafficking of vulnerable people has existed for hundreds of years. The british were masters of it until they abolished slavery ( allegedly ) when it became on the nose. People are still being trafficked to the usa and europe because they fill a need. Its a revolting thing buy lets not nust blame the trafficker. The end user customer needs to bear some of the brunt
chubby Posted May 20, 2018 Posted May 20, 2018 .......and Thailand has decided that they are refugees, granted Status , though they are not signatories and will be housed and fed , till Myanmar provides safe transportation back to their homelands ; one official said: "though Malaysia is a muslim state, we felt that they would be exploited in Malaysia, so were going to grant them Status in Thailand " ....

happy chappie Posted May 21, 2018 Posted May 21, 2018 Not a real hard one to work out.if they are being trafficked to Malaysia then the chances are there's a Malaysian connection (man-gang) waiting at the other end.i doubt if they mean farang so we are all clear on this one.anyway nice to see batman turn up for another photo op.he probably sits in his bat cave waiting for the red phone to start flashing and some busts to go down, turns up with his reporters and photographers and solves the crime.it must be great just zooming around the country jumping on the bandwagon and giving himself all the glory of solving crimes.the phrase move over son I'll take it from here comes to mind with this guy.the more I read about him the more of a bigger joke he actually becomes in my eyes.
