Can you tell me how much the waiver is?

The waiver a.k.a. provisional teaching permit a.k.a. temporary teaching permit (2018) is valid for 2 years at the same employer and cost 0 THB. Application is done by the employer.

Where I work, the teacher pays for the Teacher's License, but the school pays for the waiver.   The waiver is for the school to hire someone who does not have a license.   It expires when it is up or you leave the school.   You do not keep the waiver.

The Teacher's License is your License and it stays with you and can be used wherever you teach.

Non- B =1,900 baht

Work permit for 12 months = 3,100 baht.

If you have to leave Thailand, let's take Savannakhet as an example, with one night staying there, you'll need around 400 baht for a room, 1,400 baht for the visa to Laos and an additional 1,900 baht for the visa at the Thai consulate.

And please be aware that they might wanna see a police clearance by now.

That doesn't include the good Lao beer.

Let's just clarify that without knowing the OP's nationality you can not tell him how much, (if anything) the visa for Laos will be, as it varies according to nationality.

Also, a single entry Non-Imm visa is 2000 Baht, not 1900 Baht.

Non-B has been 2000 baht for a long time. Didn't know work permit went up from 3000 to 3100 either.

Visa to Laos depends on nationality. Canadians it's 1500 baht.

My apologies for giving false information. Swiss people and Filipinos do not have to pay for a visa into Laos. And sorry, it's 2,000 baht for the Non-B.

A work permit in my province for one year is 3,100 and hasn't changed since 2005. There might be an "Isaan coffee tax" of 100 baht on it, who knows?

STOP with the "tea money" thing! A work permit is 3k and the application fee is 100 Baht.

"who knows?", clearly not you.
