Preecha Chuthong, chief of the Haad Yong Ling beach in Trang's Kantang district, said the provincial administration was consulting all government agencies before sterilisation began in about one or two months. Preecha said at Haad Yong Ling there were about 100 monkeys waiting to steal food from tourists. Preecha said he dispatched officials to watch out at three or four spots on the beach to chase the monkeys away but it was still difficult to stop the speedy primates.
