Alleged German fraudster arrested in Pattaya after 6 years

Immigration police in Pattaya have arrested a 74 year old German man wanted on a warrant issued in 2012 for fraud and defamation.

 

An investigation team led by Pol Col Songprot Sirisukha of the Chonburi immigration police went to house number 75/168 Moo 13 Ban Nipnana in Bang Lamung to effect the arrest.

 

Taken in at 1 pm on Thursday was Theodor Wilhelm Jasperj, reported Banmuang in their crime section.

 

No further details were available.

Fraud is a familiar refrain here among expat perps.

 

But anytime I start reading about a defamation charge, it makes me think the party behind it is a local one, since alleging defamation is more a local thing than an expat thing, typically.

 

And there's usually a roll your eyes story behind most defamation prosecutions here.
