webfact
Father drowns with twin sons in Pattani canal By The Nation FILE photo//Google maps A father drowned with his twin sons while trying to rescue them from an irrigation canal in Pattani’s Yarang district on Thursday evening, the district chief said. Yarang district chief Olarn Bilson said Ma-ae Ming, 62, an Islamic teacher at an Islamic boarding-house school, drowned with his 7-year-old sons in Moo 5 village in Tambon Korlam at about 4.30pm. Local residents said the father took his sons to help wash their pickup truck on the bank of the canal, but one of the twins accidentally fell into the water and the other promptly went in to rescue him. Seeing both sons in the water, Ma-ae plunged in but the three drowned together, Olarn said. Olarn said the three were known to be very close and loved to do most activities together. Popular Post Dmaxdan
You can't over estimate the value of swimming lessons for kids. You're never going to know when it may save their lives. A triple tragedy. R.I.P

evadgib
Mine could all swim before they could walk. I couldn't swim till 11 and nearly drowned at 9. My wife's sister lost a toddler to drowning too. RIP to these 3 victims. Edited June 1, 2018 by evadgib

RichardColeman
In the village I live there are a few muslim families. NONE of them take their kids to the FREE pool to swim with all the other children. My 2 year old was in the pool from pretty after the cord was off and clean.

Prairieboy
What a tragedy. After having nearly drowned on two occasions myself I vowed that my children and grandchildren would learn to swim. And so they have! It is an invaluable life skill! Certainly many Thai's don't have access to proper training either due to lack of facilities, proper instructors or financial constraints.
