Sanam Pao??

Featured Replies

I never hear anything about this neighborhood on the BTS though it lies between the very trendy Ari and popular Victory Monument areas.  Local lifestyle magazines like BK Magazine never mention any restaurants or bars in the area and I don't remember any TV posters ever mentioning living there.  On online maps, it looks like it consists of a few gated housing estates; one apparently for military retirees and not much else.

Anybody have any insight into this area?

It seems strange that a neighborhood so close to the center of things has remained pretty much off the radar while most other neighborhoods on major transit lines have condos going up like garden weeds.

I happened to walk through there today. The walk between Ari (lots or restaurants) to Sanam Pao - 10 mins max easy walking. Area very clean and well looked after. In fact as i was walking through i was appreciating the clean , easily navigatable pavement. I live beyond Ari at Saphan Kwai, so walk the area periodically. In a nutshell perfectly nice area.

A very nice part of town. Overshadowed by Ari and VM but maybe that's a good thing. Lots of nice little eateries and bars. And toddle a few minutes down any soi for reasonable rents.
