Over 50 percent of respondents to Suan Dusit Poll believe that the post-election government will be democratic, represent the people and perform better than the previous governments.

Dusit Poll surveyed the opinions of 1,130 respondents during June 5-9 about their political interests. Election ranks top of their political issue of interest followed by the performance of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha government and new political parties.

Depressingly low expectations.

Even so, they will probably be disappointed at what they do eventually get...

yeah it is called 'Hope'; seems based only on the growing realization that the current govt just isnt any good

More professional embezzlers so you feel your still wearing pants is the most hopeful outcome.

Combine all these matters of public interest, and it's like binge-watching a DVD box set of the Jurassic Park movies.

Whether it also will be less inept, less corrupt and less self-serving than the current one is an entirely different question. Although I do have a good hunch that it won't.

But at least they could be voted out if such an election happens. That is at least a start.

Any thing is better than the current pretenders

It is surely not on TV that you will find any, so much so that one could believe it is forbidden, ..but it is only unpopular...

I believe, I should have another beer!

On a slightly different note: being better than the current government?!

Wow...talk about low hanging fruit!

No surprise, many people did inform themselves about the content of the new constitution and how it prevent democracy from functioning.

Hardly setting the bar very high.
