You must start from the beginning...

Take the test and a written test etc..

If you still have your homeland license you may get away it by doing basic tests.

Bring passport and copy of info page and visa page, medical check paper, proof of where you live..

Take your old LOS license, it may help...

As written:

you have to do the full session of physical tests, "tutoring" (watching video), theory test and driving test.

Of course you need a proof of residence (which one might depend on the individual office and your status of stay).

Medical certificate required too.

Home country license: probably worthless as your expired Thai DL is in the files and they won't issue a new temporary licensed based on that (without theory and driving test). "Probably": I am not certain. Try it (with the same set of documents).

Any hints in this direction will be removed by moderation.

No discussion of illegal activities, bribes.

No "buy on Khao San road" etc.

another issue:

i remember i could cross sukumvit into the dark side,

and eventually come out on the road where DLT is,

on the way to rayong.

the questions are, where do i cross sukumvit to come on the appropriate road,

and when i come out on the big road going to rayong, do i turn left or right to get to DLT ?

Fake Thai driving licences cannot be bought on KSR!

As an inveterate Thaivisa poster/reader you know very well that I got mine from the LTD in Bangkok, Sukhumvit 62/1(?) or somewhere near that.  And it's real.

Oh sorry, I thought you were in the know by your post..Nudge nudge...

You might be lucky that a Pattaya member reads this and is up-to-date about the current road situation (construction? road blocks?).

Otherwise create a separate thread in the Pattaya forum.

Yes, that is still posssible. There is a bridge over Highway 7 and you will reach the DLT from the back so you don`t have to use Road 36 at all.
