dplast Posted May 13, 2003 Share Posted May 13, 2003 At the exploration stage of this segment of an adventure but have spent 6 months out of the last 9 carrying my stuff around. Staying mostly in hotels in Bangkok and working from their to places around Thailand, Lao and VietNam and their must be a better way. My pack is getting heavy and the hotel rooms are getting smaller. I am back in California again but plan on returning to Thailand the first part of July and thinking this time maybe an apartment in Bangkok to work out or some where with in easy to the transportation available in bangkok or maybe a cheaper area and near the ocean. Oh, my long-range plane is to stay some where in Southeast Asia for good, I am semi retired now. Thailand is my number one pick so far but not sure of the area I would live and I haven't visited the Philippines yet. So it is travel on, travel!
