DPM Prawit: remaining political activities to be unlocked after two election laws promulgated

BANGKOK, 15th June 2018, (NNT) - The Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs, says that currently political parties are allowed to engage in a number political activities, while adding that the restrictions on other activities will be removed when the draft laws on the election of members of the House of Representatives and the selection of Senators are completed.

Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan reiterated that the election roadmap remained unaffected. He added that the government has yet to set the exact date to meet with political parties to discuss the lifting of the remaining political activities. He is also unfazed about the possibility that some major political parties may not attend the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission (EC) has wrapped up its first series of workshops on investigations and inquiry techniques in election related cases. The course highlighted the knowledge and skills required in issuing search and arrest warrants and civil case legal proceedings.

EC Chairman Supachai Somcharoen presided over the closing ceremony. He told the participants that personnel at every level of an election must have a firm grasp on the laws concerned and the skills needed in political investigation and inquiry. The EC Chairman said it is important to collect all evidence and present it to the EC to justly and fairly determine the case.

Chairman Supachai believes that the workshop will vastly improve the investigative prowess of the agency.

The electronics in his many watches must have fried his brain. The law on the election of members has been completed & the constitution court has vetted and found them constitutional. The NLA should hand the law to the Prayut and forward for royal endorsement within 90 days. Why is this man always so confusing.

this must mean the slippery democrat party are in the coalition bag along with the 'yes captain senators' and the small war lord parties.

The only way it will change near term is a huge world financial crisis to bring about a revolution.

Look at all the implicit threats contained in this: if the political parties dare to step out of line (deviate one jot from the straitjacket into which the junta has and will confine them) - then they will face big trouble.

Free and fair election?

My foot!

Mr Prawit, with all due respect, no, sorry, in fact I don't respect you, nor do I your junior Prayuth in all his fake attitudes.

Watched him this evening, 'for sport', and I have no doubt he'd be a major case for a whole psychiatric faculty, his facial attitude enough for a whole year on itself... So imbued you all are of yourselves, little anonymous brass laden sabre draggers as you were before the coup, it seems you don't realise that STAYING AWAY FROM MEDIA would be 'the thing' for you to do!

'The people' don't believe any of you, nothing of what you say, they switch off their TVs when they see your faces!

Just don't come up anymore, do your dirty stuff in the shade, THAT would 'make people happy' at once no doubt, while saving you the efforts of attempting to pull a straight face in front of a camera.

Another advantage of it would be that, when you will have been thrown back in the gutter you should never have left, and you will once be, the people in the street would not recognise you, not throw stones at you, not want to lynch you maybe... Think about it, for your own safety.

Eric, a person of your quality should know there are no 'electronics' at all in those luxury watches, it's all mechanics, handmade, doesn't work any better, rather the opposite of a good Seiko or Citizen, but justify by the spent hours of craftmanship the crazy prices, in the mllions of Baht, very wealthy persons, ...or major thieves and embezzlers, are ready to pay to show off with such masterpieces (leaving out a 10% of true, respectable, watch-a-holics).

What about the so called borrowed watches... Anything new???

It's all gone quiet on the watch front.

It just shows - in our faces - how the faux-elite protect their own and don't give a damn about true justice, the rule of law and ending corruption.

But we all knew that anyway.

Richard Mille watches are electronic quartz. Mechanical watches are no longer competitive against the new wave of electronic quartz watches.
