GLASGOW, Scotland (Reuters) - A major fire has torn through one of Scotland's architectural gems, the Mackintosh building at the Glasgow School of Art, for the second time in four years.

Papua New Guinea declares state of emergency over riots

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Papua New Guinea has declared a state of emergency, suspended a provincial government and is sending armed forces to its rugged highlands to restore order after rioters went on a rampage of looting and burning, the government said.

Car bomb kills 20 during Eid ceasefire in east Afghanistan

KABUL (Reuters) - A car bomb killed at least 20 people at a gathering of Taliban and Afghan armed forces in the eastern city of Nangarhar on Saturday, an official said, as soldiers and militants elsewhere in the country celebrated an unprecedented ceasefire.

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's interior minister used an exceptional power on Saturday to release medicinal cannabis oil that had been confiscated from an epileptic boy who was later hospitalised suffering from seizures.
