Faked death certificate

Featured Replies

If a rich farang discovered that he got his one night stand pregnant and when she was looking for him, was told that he had gone back to his country and had died . A death certificate was produced. Years later after much toil and trouble and expense to raise the child alone, she discovered him to be living happily in a big house with his new Thai wife and daughter in Thailand. Is there anything she can do to claim some compensation or what are the consequences of presenting false information like this to a lawyer and to a court?

In Thailand, she could sue him in civil court.

In the home country, i.e. meuang farang, she could make a complaint to the police that he had falsified a death certificate.

It is a can of worms.....her version against his   :whistling:

HUH::
DNA test and sue for parental support
BUT as it would require a lawyer and lots of other expenses, i'd say,she is S#@T out of luck

Zero chance.

In Thailand single moms can't claim from the guy they accuse.

Married in the Amphur office, they can claim but usually the legal fees outweigh any money they recover so pointless.

Total nonsense. When not married a paternity suit can be filed, which she apperently did in order to establish the father and obligate him to pay child support.

Presenting a fake death certificate is a criminal offence. Fake documents are taken very seriously in Thailand and will normally result in jail time. That it is was presented to a court will not be very helpful.

The mother has already tried to file a paternity suit to be able to claim child support. It wasn't granted due to the fake documents. That means that there are grounds to award her the child support, with back pay and legal interest.

The post starts with "If" as if it is not something that happened.  Obviously a dead man can not present a death certificate of his death so have no clue where that was obtained - but does not appear it can be sourced to the dead or alive one night stand.

Happens all the time, unless the accused has a legit job in Thailand there's no way to enforce payment.

Thai men just quit their jobs, & nothing to pay.

Too many white men virtue signalling, this isn't the west, you don't have to pay women anything, ever.

Hookers are only entitled to payment for that night (1,000-2,000bht).

Go home if you don't like the rules here.

"A death certificate was produced."

Who delivered the death certificate? Obviously not the undead gentleman in question.

Forging the document is one offence (almost impossible to prove who did this without an admission of guilt).

Knowingly allowing the document to be used would be another offence.

The problem you have is that there is no proof the undead gentleman did any of this, or indeed that he had any knowledge of the death certificate at all.

Without an admission this will go nowhere. On top of this, at this stage there is no proof of paternity.
