Liam Gallagher fans slam 'ignorant' singer after he calls late Queen icon Freddie Mercury a 'goofy c***'

He's not one to hold back when it comes to voicing his opinion, but Liam Gallagher's fans thought he went too far when he attacked late Queen singer Freddie Mercury.

 

The singer, 45, responded to a tweet in which a fan compared the two artists, writing: 'Freddie Mercury - Bohemian Rhapsody. Liam Gallagher - Songbird.'

 

Liam simply replied: 'F*** him, the goofy c***.' 

 

But even Liam's die-hard fans didn't take his words lying down, with some branding him 'ignorant' and 'self-important.'

There was ever only one Gallagher of note in rock music and his first name was Rory.

He does have a point though.

And to make matters worse he,s a fan of Man City......says it all

Watch his concert in the Isle of White on YouTube recently, he clearly can't sing! Not the best way to demonstrate your lack of talent by criticising a person who can sing.

I have no love for liam Gallagher, but to not know who he is means you have pretty much managed to miss the last 2.5+ decades

Liam is an incredibly minor figure within the history of music, and will be forgotten in 20 years. Queen will live on. Though I was not a fan of their music, I can acknowledge their popularity and contribution. Oasis? Lightweight elevator music. He is a blowhard. What he says means very little, as he is such a non factor in the world of music. He is less of a factor than Paul Simon. Less than Brittany Spears. Almost a caricature, like Justin Bieber.
