The Ministry of Labour warned Thai employers who employ  migrant workers to register their employments and have their workers’ nationalities varified by authorities by the end of this month as there would be no more extension of time for them.

Warning by Labour Minister Pol  Gen  Adul Sangsingkeo came as there are still  four days for employers for   registration of  migrant workers and   have nationality  verification at  the ministry’s OSS or One Stop Service centres.

Pol Gen Adul said as the OSS centres will open until end of this month  for registration and nationality verification service, they still have four days to process.

The registration of foreign workers must go down in history as one of their greatest junta stuff-ups of all time.

Let's retrace history. These clowns under the leadership of the PM introduced some draconian laws whereby all foreign workers had to be registered by some impossible deadline.

Hundreds of thousands of immigrant workers immediately fled the country and made to return and register for the work that lazy Thais were unprepared to do.

End result,  the workforce was thrown into chaos. Thai factories were shut down and left without employees. PM Prayut was left humiliated so he sacked the minister and blamed him. No one is permitted to make a fool of a fool  in Thailand.

It was Prayut and and his cronies who introduced the bill into parliament in the first place so now they want to quietly extend the deadline hoping no one will notice how stupid they have been.

Sadly there is NO hope for Thailand while these buffoons are in charge.

You are right Mr. Chocolate. The government is only checking to see if it needs more workers to do the job the lazy Thais should be doing. The Pm way of thinking is to let the Thais be lazy if I push them to work then they won't vote for me. Blind Freddy can see these workers are mainly used on farms and building sites and roadworks. Not a high-class skilled job by all means but no way would you get those Lazy Thais to do it. Take a look around you can see hundreds of Thai men just walking around doing nothing. Question where do they get their money from and how do they live? The thought has entered my mind I feel like going up to one of them and asking "Where is your money tree"

Odd he didn't also warn about supposed employer penalties if they hire unregistered (considered "illegal") migrant worker such as a fine between 10,000-100,000 baht for each illegal migrant worker hired and a one-year jail term and/or a fine between 50,000-200,00 baht for repeat (same migrant?).

Does this mean there is a tacit understanding that only unregistered migrants will be punished?
