Police arrest four people accused of running a football gambling website in Bangkok on June 28.

BANGKOK — Police on Monday said they arrested 6,500 people – including 250 bookmakers – on gambling-related charges since the beginning of the World Cup, confiscating 28 million baht.

Where are they going to put 6,500 arrestees - ironically a football stadium might well be the ideal location.

As for the 28 million Baht - even the BIB would have trouble spending that amount quickly unless it went on a football bet.

Looks like with the influx of evil gamblers being incarcerated, they'll have to knock off a couple more Thai baht from the gruel budget for feeding the inmates that is supposed to run out mid-year.

Wonder how many of them bet on Germany, Argentina, Portugal or Spain?

If that experience doesn’t cure them, nothing will.

Three questions:

1. How many pretties did they catch?

2. What happens to the 28 million baht?.......sorry, silly question!

3. Where is the enormous graphic flowchart of the main culprit's caricatures and assorted arrows pointing in all directions?

Regarding 3, I’m hoping this is a sign the campaign against single use plastic is gathering pace.
