Hello

Looking for step by step tips on how to do this in Bangkok ,for both non Imm B on 12 month extension with work permit, and spouse on Non-imm O dependent 12 month extension.

Presumably cancel the WP first at One stop shop.

Can the extensions then be converted there on the spot, or is a trip to Chang Wattana necessary.

Is it required to have 800k THB funds on deposit for 2 months before doing this?

If so could the funds be held in 2 separate bank accounts under same name, or do they have to be consolidated into 1 account?

Thank you for advice!

If your extension and work permit were issued at the one stop center they would have to be canceled there. Same for your spouses extension.

Then you would have to go to Chaeng Wattana immigration to apply for the extension based upon retirement and your spousces new extension after you get yours.

The 800k baht would have to be in the bank for 3 months on the date you apply. The 60 days is only for the first extension of a 90 day entry from a non-o visa. The 800k baht would have to be in an account in your name.

Your spouse will not need financial proof to apply for a new extension based upon your extension as your spouse.

Thank you.  Very helpful. Could the  800k be held in 2 different bank accounts in my name(example, 500K in 1 account, and 300K in another) or only 1

It can be in more than one account. You will need letters from the bank for each account and bank books updated on the date you apply.

Thank you.  Does the account balance have to exceed 800K for each of the 3 months, or do they look at an average.  If it was zero in Months 1 and 2, but 2,400,000, in month 3, this would average out to 800k over 3 months, even though only 1 month had the funds?

It has to be at least 800k baht for every day of the 3 months.

Thank you.  One final question.  After the cancellation of the WP at the One Stop, would the conversion to retirement at Chang Wattana have to be the same day or is there a grace period of 7 days to get this done?

It would need to be done on the same day. The 7 days that the one stop may give is only to leave the country.

If the cancelation is requested before your last day of work they should post date the cancelation to that date which would give you more time to apply for the new extension.
