A reporter summed it up nicely

 

12 dehydrated, hungry boys breathing low oxygen in total darkness for 15 days and who don't even know how to swim are learning to scuba dive in the most treacherous cave in the world. That's like learning how to do advanced neurosurgery in a day. And succeeding.

I would say that as well.

 

But unfortunately, I have just seen a Sky News report which had several of the details wrong, and it was embarrassing.

 

The reporter said that the boys were given bread covered with chocolate for breakfast: All the other reports say they could NOT have it.

They also said all the boys will be well enough to go to Moscow for the cup final.

 

You could tell that the reporter was just simply winging it, and that from a supposedly “reputable” news channel.

I agree with laws on certain stuff but if not careful they will turn Thailand to be infected with nanny state thinking.

 

ie. when they cant think of sensible laws to pass they dream up all sorts of endless BS,

thinking it makes them look good.

think it's only necessary for the officials in charge of things like dangerous caves etc.  to be a bit more pro-active. Monitor the situation, take necessary actions (close access) if water levels are increasing or the wet session is early, it's not rocket science, that is not being a nanny state.
