Pattaya trader sold SIM cards to foreigners.....in the name of a certain Mr Prayut!

A senior police spokesman has revealed that a man has been arrested in Pattaya for selling SIM cards to foreigners in the name of the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha.

Wage rise for judges gets first nod

THE National Legislative Assembly (NLA) yesterday overwhelmingly approved in principle a government motion seeking salary increases for judges, public prosecutors and members of independent organisations. The NLA’s first reading voted to pass amendments to five laws regulating personnel of the relevant agencies, as proposed by the Cabinet.

Sedatives used before extracting youths

All 13 footballers in good health, but more test reports awaited

Compared to the thrilling rapidity of the dramatic cave rescue in Chiang Rai, the travelling life of the average Bangkok commuter has continued to be remarkably slow. Motorists are used to that, of course, but riders of the BTS Skytrain have abruptly been deprived of their accustomed fast lane.

15% of Phuket’s advanced bookings cancelled

About 15% of advance bookings have been cancelled in the past week in the wake of the boat capsize 8 days ago.  Chinese tourists are voting with their bookings citing a loss of confidence in Phuket marine safety, and safety generally.
