Some questions about getting an Operating Lease in Thailand

Recommended Posts

From what I understand, in order to get an Operating Lease for a new BMW or Mercedes Benz in Thailand I would need to do so through a Thai company.

Assuming the above is correct (please let me know if it's not), I have some questions:

  1. Is there anything else I need to get an Operating Lease? i.e. established credit history, Thai bank account, etc?
  2. Would I need a Thai person to co-sign the lease, etc?
  3. Who should I speak to about creating my own Thai company for the sole purpose of car leasing?
  4. How long does it take to create the company and what is the approximate total cost?

Don't think this will work for operational lease, the company will not have any history.

On top of that, this will be an illegal company since the purpose is not valid (unless the only stated activity is 'operational lease of new BMW', in which case BMW will not be happy.
