UK pensioner ends up in hospital after Jomtien bar fight over music

Police were called to The Roxy beer bar in Jomtien Soi 7 on Saturday night after a 65 year old British pensioner got hurt in a fight with another tourist.

 

Covered in blood at the scene from a cut lip was David Williamson.

 

He was given first aid at the scene by Sawang Boriboon medics before being taken to hospital.

 

Staff said that the tourists, who normally got on well, started fighting when Mr Williamson decided to change the music.

 

Pattaya News did not give a name for the other tourist or mention where he was from.

 

Police are looking for him to prosecute him for assault.

Well at least for once they weren't fighting over a bar girl.

65 years  old and still getting into bar fights. And guys here talk about fragile Thai men's ego's. These old men  need to grow up.

The difference is, nobody got their head blown off, as is sometimes the case over here.

Clearly Jomtien is a cultural hub of the fine arts.

The people are passionate about the music and the dance. 

Surely a great OPERA HOUSE will be coming here soon?

Fantastic. A 65 year old barfigther. I wonder how old the other one was? Maybe they can play in the sandbox together when all is over after a lot of wais and smiles all around.

Bar girls arent fair maidens.  They're street prostitutes  standing behind a wooden bench or on the street proper holding up an offensive sign.

 

No maidens in LOS.

 

I put a Duran Duran YouTube video on in a bar in Hua Hin and almost got beat up by some guy from Sweden who wanted to listen to Abba.

We all know boys will be boys and squabble over the most trivial of things but it's just a case of old boys will be old boys here.

Can't be sure but - the old guy looks similar to one I saw being helped into a police truck near Roxy Bar earlier this year - he'd had a scrap with another O.A.P.

Yeah, more details over music preferred by combatants. If it was Kpop or Techno, I'd go to the mat on that crap if I couldn't just go.

you are confusing it with pattaya, where negotiations are in progress to open a branch of Teatro alla Scala, of Milano Italy, Pavarotti could have had his greatest moments on soi 6
