Can you imagine trying to get a travel insurance claim paid after a night of drinking and getting run over or it doesn’t cover any pre exciting health conditions or no cover because you over 65 yrs old, there seems to be so many reasons why a travel insurance company won’t pay a claim no wonder in today’s world so many people opt out of taking travel (rip off ) insurance ,

Anyone who gets drunk, does something stupid and then expects an insurance company to compensate them for their own recklessness is a self-entitled <deleted>.  Insurance is all about managing risk and insurance companies rightly have exclusion clauses in place for those who behave like morons while drunk or on drugs.

You don’t have to anything stupid to have a legitimate claim denied Cheers

You don’t have to be stupid or a moron to have a legitimate claim denied more often than not, especially when taking out travel insurance at the time your thinking you are covered.Cheers

That is true, but why did you start with being drunk?

I personally think it's a good idea, why ?

Because for one, too many people come to Thailand not knowing how dangerous this place can actually be to the unsuspecting traveller, especially in the touristy places.

I mean can you imagine being almost completely swallowed by a LadyBoy, but managing to pull away at the last moment when you realise that it's actually a bloke, I mean the psychological damage for one could take years to work from stopping you returning to the LOS ?

Then you have the bar girls that want to love you long time, well depending on what they give you to take home for life can leave recurring trauma which one will never get over, but will have to learn to manage it, yes long time, or short time love in the LOS smiles can leave its mark on you ?

But with mandatory travel insurance the Thai government should go one step further and collect and cover every traveller coming to their country, I mean after all, it would take the burden off the hospital system trying to recoup the money from travellers or holding them at ransom until they cough up, so to speak.

The only thing, as with any type of travel insurance, you would have to read the fine print, or the translation for that matter, because the above might be excluded from the policy ?
