My visa date is coming up next month. I want to get the interview over and then have the waiting period under consideration stamped into my book. I then want to fly to the US for a couple of weeks directly after the meeting. How is this possible when the Visa 1yr has passed and is under extended consideration period for a new stamp?

-Can we travel outside the country or are we on lock down to protect our status?

- Do I need to get a Re-Entry? Will they give me one that is? I heard someone say no.. But I would think yes.

My aim would be to come back before the under consideration date is up. But what if I don't make it back on the come back date? Will there be a problem?

I assume you are applying for an extension of stay not a visa.

You can get a re-entry permit that will valid for entry up to the report back date on the under consideration stamp.

I would not advise you to enter on the report back date since you might not have time to make it to immigration to get your extension stamp done on the same day. I cannot say exactly what would happen it you entered on the last day since I have never heard of somebody trying to do it.

If you returned after the report back date you would get a 30 day visa exempt entry if you qualify for one and would have to start all over again.

Hi UBJ. OK, I thought it should be alright but when I heard from someone the other night it made me think of if there could be any potential complications arising on this matter from an IO. No, I would come back 3-4 days before the Extension of Stay, so no problem there.

Thanks for your reply.

Hi UBJ, One last question. If I went 3 weeks before hand, would they date the under consideration for only 1 month or would it be 3 weeks and 1 month going from the actual date the Extension of yearly stay is finished?

I am almost thinking to ask them to do that as better to be safe with more time.

Some offices start the 30 days from the end of your permit to stay while many others start it from the date you apply.

If the office you will be apply at starts it from the date of application you could ask them to start it from the end of your permit to stay.

Go to the immigration office and tell them what you want to do. In my case the stamped in an extra stamp. Made a perood of 90 days extra valid after the reporting day and had to come back in that period.

Visa extesion was like the other onces before and after.
