Iranian tourist sniffs scam after being fined for littering in Pattaya

1.  the tourist never claimed he did NOT litter.

 

2.  the maximum fine for littering (according to googles) is 2000 baht.

 

3.  the fine for smoking in a non-smoking area is 2000-5000 baht.

 

4.  pattaya has installed designated smoking booths.

 

5.  stupid scammers haven't updated their scam since new smoking

laws went into effect, should have demanded more!

Who knows, maybe it was the same official who charged the tourist (as Thais cannot always easily be identified by foreigners)... If so, the official, who kept the money for himself rather than passing it on to City Hall, would've complained that it was his money... ? - TiT! 

 

I don't see why official X would otherwise (have) to pay, so that a tourist would get a receipt. I bet, that official was involved one way or another!
