As to what reasons would my US passport give a “name lock” in Thailand immigration computer, im being told it’s not a blacklist.

Maybe because somebody filed a police report against you, as you reported yourself last month:

No I was told it wasn’t real, and per police I have no records under my name.

do you have reason to suspect that the lawyer you are using could be scamming you into paying for more of their service?

Thaivisaservice told me I have a name lock, so not really sure what it is or how it got there
