the stay one night rule is correct and has been like that for sometime.

it's usually waived for a couple of hundred baht.

it had nothing to do with the visa you have.

u mean i can bribe the thai officers at the border ?
some guy said they ask for 10K...

This has been going on for some time. Lots of reports on Thai Visa. There isn't an option to directly bribe the Thai side as far as I've heard, but it seems the Cambodians have 'contacts' and for a large fee can get you back through.

The main issue is that the bosses on the Thai side don't want people with ME visas doing border runs to extend their stay.

normally the thais are fine to let you out and back in but the cambodian officers usually take the bribe to go back. usually just 200 baht or so. always safer to do a border bounce with a visa run company as they'll have all that sorted and can take out the hassle

Depending on place time and mood 200 to 500 baht and yes the law about 24 hours does exist.

The young 2 Ferangs i know here who are employed by Honda legally dont know what this bouncing is either , so it must be evading the regs by doing so.Like teaching for a few bucks, just to extend stay.

Please show where it is written.

there's signs on the walls at the border which the IO's will gladly point out. within the law, i have no idea but arguing over a few hundred baht just for them to turn around and say you can't go back isn't worth it to most people.

At one time it was on the e-visa site. It can be found on many travel sites. I have searched for info about it online but trying to find anything official on Cambodia government sites is almost impossible.

Here is a check for a same day round trip flight to Siem Reap on this site that is based upon the IATA requirements. https://skyteam.traveldoc.aero/#input

Since it is shown on the above site it is certainly a written requirement.

That costs three hundred baht, in Poipet no man's land, to circumvent this Khmer 24 hrs rule.

Plenty of touts on stand by in front of casinos are always ready to help you.

i want to ask and add a few things :

at the border - when i said i asked 2 people about their visa denied -  one of the guys was from Chile , and he came to Cambodia for 2 nights from Thailand  - when he try to come back to Thailand he was denied because the thai officers want him ti have a flight back from Thailand  - i met him later that day at the airport again  - so he just took a flight back to bkk like i did...
so the 24 hours thing didn't really matter i guess - look like the only problem is the specific border in
Poipet .

i also never ask to pay any Extra money to any officer at the border , im guessing at least one person will come to me and tell me to pay a fee - but it seems no one was able to help in that situation .

so can u please explain me to which border i should go next time ?
and someone here said i should go with a visa run agency that  will 'Take Care' of everything  - any recommendations ?

The problem was that you were using Poipet for your border hop. There was no need to fly back to Thailand, but you did need to use a different land crossing. To ensure there is no confusion:

  • Cambodia has a rule that you must stay overnight unless you have a multiple entry business visa for Cambodia. This is easily overcome with a small bribe (perhaps 200 baht) and sometimes no bribe is even needed.
  • There is no rule by Thai immigration that you must stay overnight in Cambodia. However, Poipet is known to deny people entry for all kinds of reasons in order to set up an extortion racket. Fixers on the Cambodian side can arrange with Thai immigration to let you enter, with most of the money going into the pocket of corrupt Thai officials.

the problem wasn't with the Cambodians at that time - they was willing to stamp my Cambodian visa to enter and leave... but then the thai officer will stamp your visa a 'CANCELED' stamp on your visa... that's what happen to other people there...and then they need to buy a new Cambodian visa again..

visa run service depends where you live but thaivisaservice.com to daily trips to kanchanaburi from on nut BTS/Tesco car park at 4am. 2,000 all in including food. no full page visa stamp in passport and back around lunchtime.

any border should be fine in the future except poipet

so to which border they taking me ? - the 2000 baht is include the cambodian visa fee ? (1300baht)
