BANGKOK, 16th August 2018 (NNT) – A committee of the National Legislative Assembly has led a discussion on how to elevate the level of emergency aid efficiency.

First Vice President of the NLA Surachai Liengboonlertchai, who is also the Chair of the committee on integrated emergency aid coordination, on Wednesday invited representatives from related agencies to share opinions and study problems related to emergency aid.

The meeting brought together people involved in the issue, in both the public and private sectors, to discuss an effective program that will help boost the efficiency of each unit and skills of emergency response personnel, in order to ensure that injured patients are safely transported to hospital while successfully preventing loss of life and property.

The discussion also touched on a push by the Department of Public Works and Town Planning to install Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in all buildings and to make sure there would be a designated elevator at each building, which meets required safety standards, to facilitate the transfer of patients out of the premises.
