Well last week in Macro, Nong Khai it was priced at 1740 per kg.

Thats not bad, in Alaska about $30 per kilo., unless you know somebody. Once time we got 25 pounds in exchange for a quarter of dank.

in SE Alaska we got abalone for free in 1974, the loggin' camp cookhouse chef was a diver and got some nearby...he chopped 'em up and made fritters...delish...even the crusty old dudes that demanded steak every night fer supper said 'not bad'...

 

never did see no crabs...had to go further north fer them...

 

'broccoli au gratin with yer abalone monsieur tutsi?' 'don't mind if I do, merci beaucoup...' there woulda been a nice bordeaux as well but the camp boss kept us away from the liquor until the weekend as the timber production would suffer...
