Hello all

My girlfriend and I have just returned from Bangkok

with my affirmation to marry from my embassy, and translation.

We were meant to marry before I return to England, but it looks

like we will marry when I return, with my family in 1 months time.

Can anyone tell me whether the affirmation will still be valid in 1 months

time? Will the district office still except this, or is it back to the embassy again.

It would be best to ask the District Office involved. Or just get married now and have a Thai ceremony with your folks present. They need not be tied together and usually are not.

You did not mention but that translation has to be registered at the MFA with a registration number before it will be accepted by a District Office.

Yes I have registered the documents with the MFA.

I will phone the local district office tomorrow.
