Accident Newly Elected Provincial Councillor Fatally Crashes SUV into Woman on Motorbike
Pictures from responders. A newly elected provincial councillor in Phayao province has been involved in a fatal road collision after crashing his Toyota Fortuner SUV into a woman riding a motorcycle on the unfinished R3A highway. The victim, a 60-year-old local woman, died at the scene. At approximately 10:45 on 22 April, Pol. Lt. Praphat Kaakham, Deputy Inspector at Chun Police Station, received a report of a collision at a traffic junction on the R3A road near Ban San Luang, Moo 5, Thung Ruang Thong subdistrict, Chun district. Rescue teams from Kuan U and Norasingh Chun foundations, along with doctors from Chun Hospital, rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, responders found a white Toyota Fortuner, registered in Phayao, that had veered off the road. The driver was identified as Mr. Theerawat 38, a newly elected member of the Phayao Provincial Administrative Organisation from Ban Pa Sak, Phu Sang district. Nearby, a red-and-black Honda motorcycle lay wrecked in the middle of the road. The area was strewn with a sack of sand and spilled contents from the motorbike. The body of Mrs. Pin aged 60, was discovered not far from the crash. She had suffered severe injuries, including a fractured skull, multiple broken limbs, and a broken neck. Her body was taken to Chun Hospital. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim had been transporting food and sand to her husband, who was working in nearby fields. As she crossed the incomplete R3A junction, the SUV struck her motorbike. Although traffic lights have been installed at the intersection, they have yet to be activated as parts of the road remain under construction. Police are continuing to gather evidence and witness statements to determine the precise cause of the crash and whether any charges will be filed. -

Hegseth Said to Have Shared Attack Details in Second Signal Chat
planned a wild night I guess - I have noted that she is really into modelling and wearing the HLS warriors' protective clothing, so maybe she planned on a shopping trip. But carrying that much money, and the other important items and then not being careful - what another idiot the Trump nominated people seem to be! IMHO -

Living Well on a Budget in Thailand
Yeah, today i got an informational email about health insurers and govt workers which included the zooming costs of BC/BS since 2016. Then I looked at the what I thought would be great savings of one plus one - just under a 100 USD a month so not even close to what I thougt it would be. Lots of comments from customers and many are in fact dropping BC/BS for cheaper plans but the overseas full coverage keeps me there. What I hate most is that the increases are caused by the poor diets of people meaning that the pharmas and doctors are kept busy taking care of people that don't take enough care of themselves. So I guess the best thing for me and my family is to eat better diets, some exercise, etc...BTW I have changed my diet and have been eating well for years, plus since HS I have exercised regularly nowadays 1.5 to 2+ hours a day and don't take any medicines. I haven't even had a headache for over 25 years so not even aspirin/tylenol. No drugs nor alcohol. But, I still have to pay for the health care as I have read too many stories of how illness and/or accidents bankrupted too many people. I do wish you the best of course and hope life is great for you too. -

Community Body of Man with Hanuman Tattoo Found in Abandoned Building in Phuket
Picture courtesy of Kaoded. A man’s body has been discovered in a deserted building in Kathu district, Phuket, with authorities estimating he had been dead for approximately seven days. The deceased had a distinctive tattoo of the Hindu deity Hanuman on his back. At around 17:40 on 21 April, Pol. Lt. Chaiwat Makkaew, deputy investigator at Kathu Police Station, received a report of a body found inside the abandoned “William Plaza” building, located in Moo 1, Kathu subdistrict. Upon arrival at the scene, investigators were joined by forensic officers from Vachira Phuket Hospital and personnel from the Kusoldharm Foundation. They found the body of a Thai male, believed to be around 40 years old. No identification documents were found on the body, and there were no signs of physical assault or struggle in the surrounding area. Local residents informed police that the man was likely a homeless individual suffering from mental health issues. He had reportedly been squatting in the building for around two months prior to his death. The body has been taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for a full autopsy as part of the ongoing investigation and to try to identify the individual. Authorities have asked anyone with information about the man’s identity to come forward. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Kaoded. -- 2025-04-23
